Michael Wilde is a book doctor, developmental editor, and line editor with more than twenty years’ experience working with leading authors and publishers in subjects ranging from scholarly and professional books to pop culture, literary fiction,
children’s books, and young adult novels.
His projects include award-winning titles such as Summer for the Gods: The Scopes Trial and America’s Continuing Debate over Science and Religion by Edward J. Larson (Pulitzer Prize in
History), Once Upon a Number by John Allen Paulos (a Los Angeles Times Best Nonfiction Book), Black Dog of Fate by Peter Balakian (PEN/Martha Albrand Prize for Memoir), Bureaucracy: What Government Agencies Do and Why They Do It by James Q. Wilson (Basic Books Classics and National Book Award), and the work of authors as diverse as Steven Pinker (Words and Rules) and Lemony Snicket (A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning).
